Leadership Rhode Island members believe Rhode Island is a great place, not only to play, but also to live and work and to establish or expand new or existing enterprises. And LRI is harnessing its network of leadership resources to promote the economic potential that the State's many assets offer entrepreneurs and employers who locate their operations here.

As an organization, LRI is formally encouraging current students as well as alumni to think about how they and every Rhode Islander can become ambassadors for the state as a simple, effective, and affordable way to encourage economic growth.

The TryRI initiative began as a one-time project by the Leadership Rhode Island class of 2010. As a direct result of that effort, an online retailer based in Pennsylvania is seriously considering a move to Rhode Island, and the response has been so overwhelmingly positive that LRI has decided to continue TryRI with a new sense of purpose.

Believing: "It's the best move you'll ever make," LRI intends to use its network of enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and influential Rhode Islanders to showcase the State's tremendous advantages and strengths to the outside world.
