At Leadership Rhode Island, you will be challenged by the critical issues facing our state and gain an in-depth, behind-the-scenes view of Rhode Island. You’ll go where key issues are addressed and meet with state, community, and business leaders. And all of this will happen in the company of 50-60 other state leaders from a wide range of industries, organizations, backgrounds, and viewpoints - each selected for their leadership capacity, talents, and each sharing a commitment to making Rhode Island a community with the brightest of futures.

Class Members

The 2017 Nu II Class represents an extraordinary cross-section of Rhode Island leaders from a wide variety of professional disciplines, organizations, institutions, and businesses. Participants learn from each other and gain valuable new insights as they are guided through the Core Program together with their fellow participants, who bring to the program their own training, life experiences, and perspectives.

Meet the Nu IIs

LRI's 2,000+ graduates serve as community leaders in business, government, community outreach, the arts, and the media. They are leaders at religious institutions, in the health care sector, in education, or in the state's vigorous nonprofit sector throughout Rhode Island.

In addition, LRI alumni volunteer their time, expertise, and financial support to more than 300 Rhode Island nonprofit agencies. Whatever the community issue or challenge, chances are very good that an LRI alum has a strong familiarity and may even be actively involved in addressing it.
