OHIC releases premium requests for the R.I. individual and small-group rates
On Tuesday, July 18, Dr. Kathleen C. Hittner (LRI '01), the state’s health insurance commissioner, will host a public meeting at the R.I. Public Utilities Commission to invite input on the proposed rates.

General Assembly approves expansion of remote net metering in R.I.
Rep. Aaron Regunberg (2017 Nu II), D-Providence, sponsored the legislation and lauded its passage. “Legislation like this is critical to reaching our economic, energy and climate goals,” Regunberg said.

$813,124 awarded in CDBG funds
Mayor Scott Avedisian (LRI '97) has announced the distribution of $813,124 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds that will benefit non-profit agencies and a neighborhood association. The funds were awarded on July 1, the beginning of the new fiscal year.
