The Propel Program will take early career employees to the next level in just three months. Through dynamic workshops and experiential activities related to their development goals, participants will grow in their confidence, professionalism, and self awareness in the workplace.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have been navigating a workplace environment for at least six months (This does not have to be in the same role, team, organization)
  • Spend 30-40 hours per week in this role

Curriculum

This energetic, dynamic program has been designed to equip emerging leaders with the following:

  • Collaboration skills to better connect and be productive with their managers and peers
  • Techniques in communication to be effective in various settings and across different audiences
  • Strategies for self-advocacy in the workplace, effectively communicating their strengths
  • Knowledge in financial literacy, personal finance, and long-term savings

Application Process

A completed submission consists of the following: online application, a letter of reference from your employer, and a panel  interview. 

Please allow ample time for the following steps:

  • Complete the online application. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, December 5, 2024.
  • Send a Reference Letter Form to a supervisor or manager at your organization. One completed Reference Letter Form is required; applicants may add an additional reference of their choosing. Completed Reference Letters must be submitted by December 19, 2024.
    • Upon completing the application, you will receive a link to the Reference Letter Form. It is your responsibility to send this to the individual writing your reference letter(s), as this link is customized to correspond with your application.
  • Schedule and attend an Alumni Panel Interview
    • Each applicant will be interviewed by an LRI staff member, along with 2-3 LRI Alumni. Interviews are 30 minutes long, and are held virtually. We will reach out to schedule your interview after your application is submitted.

Program Schedule

The College Leadership Rhode Island Program is an experiential program. Applicants must commit to full attendance at every session day, consisting of nine Friday sessions from 8:00am – 5:30pm at various locations.
