Providence moving forward with municipal ID program

The proposal has the support of the Providence Police, according to Capt. Dean Isabella (LRI '14). He said “everyone in the city of Providence should feel they have access to the police department,” and the cards will be good for public safety.

CCRI: No penalty for leaving state after getting RI Promise scholarship

There is no scenario where students would be required to pay back their two-year scholarships if they fail to meet certain requirements set by the state – including the residency pledge – according to Alix Ogden (LRI '12), chief of staff to CCRI President Dr. Meghan Hughes.

The board of directors of Beacon Mutual Insurance Company, a Warwick, R.I.-based workers’ compensation carrier, has elected Brian Spero (LRI '84) as president and CEO of the company, effective in July.

Top 10 Reasons LRI’s Core Program Matters

LRI collected online responses from a 2017 NU II Class survey about their 10-month Core Program experiences at the halfway point (July). Participants were asked to reflect on 16 statements and choose the most appropriate response on a sliding scale from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree."
