Pawtucket mayor announces financial advisory team
The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, a sponsor, is the fiscal agent collecting money raised, said John C. Gregory (LRI '94), president and CEO of the chamber. Other sponsors are the Pawtucket Foundation and the Pawtucket 20/20 Committee.

Meals on Wheels of RI cutting weekend deliveries
Executive Director Heather Amaral (2017 Nu II) said the organization is cutting back to preserve its weekday meal service. "Discontinuing our weekend meals is an unfortunate result of the combination of funding stagnation and increasing expenses," Amaral said in a news release.

Frank Montanaro Sr., former head of Rhode Island AFL-CIO, dies at 83
Montanaro Sr. held the top post at the Rhode Island AFL-CIO for 19 years. He was succeeded in 2009 by George Nee (LRI '81) after deciding not to run for re-election.
