Announcing the Honorees: 2023 Inspiring Leaders Awards Luncheon

Leadership Rhode Island’s signature annual luncheon, the 2023 Inspiring Leaders Awards Luncheon, will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Providence Marriott Downtown, located at 1 Orms Street in Providence.

No Disruption In Service – PPL Foundation Commits $15,000 To College Leadership Rhode Island Program

Leadership Rhode Island is pleased to announce it has received a $15,000 grant from the PPL Foundation. These funds will support the College Leadership Rhode Island (CLRI) Program serving leaders ages 18 – 26 who are either attending, or have recently graduated college.

Exploring the Greatest Little State

Leadership Rhode Island will stage its second annual Statewide Scavenger Hunt during the last weekend in August. The hunt, originally designed as a Covid-safe summer activity, returns this year with new locations, experiences, and ways to build pride in the greatest little state.

New Leadership at Leadership RI—Ritz Steps Aside, Carr Steps Up

Mike Ritz (LRI '07), Executive Director of Leadership Rhode Island, has accepted a new position as Executive Director of a new government leadership institute initiative by Gallup. Upon his departure, Deputy Director Michelle Carr (LRI '14) will be rising up as LRI's new Executive Director.

Enhancement: Envisioning Resilience: Narragansett Bay

Alumni and members of the Sigma II class took a private tour of the Envisioning Resilience: Narragansett Bay exhibit on display at the WaterFire Arts center and were led a robust discussion on the impact that climate change will likely have on coastal Rhode Island.
