About Leadership Rhode Island

Each year Leadership Rhode Island selects a diverse group of established and emerging leaders to participate in a thought-provoking, 10-month (January–October) community leadership program. Statewide issues are examined through the perspectives of experts, on-site visits, readings, discussion groups, problem-solving exercises, and other experiential activities.

The Core Program is a not a starting point, but rather a process for leaders to refine and enhance their commitment to Rhode Island throughout their lives. Participation opens the door to ongoing personal growth, professional development, and community leadership. Graduates join LRI’s network of 2,000-plus alumni and a life of Rhode Island stewardship. There is only one way to be part of this – experience it yourself.

About Goldman Sachs 10KSB

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a 12-week, no cost program that helps small businesses grow and create jobs by providing them with greater access to education, financial capital, and business support services. Through the program, designed by Babson College, small business owners gain practical skills in topics such as negotiation, marketing, finances and employee management that can immediately be put into action.

In addition, entrepreneurs work with a business advisor to develop a strategic and customized growth plan to take your business to the next level. The classes are conveniently located at CCRI’s Warwick campus. The 12-week program is offered 3 times a year. All selected applicants receive a full scholarship, so the program is no-cost. Eligible applicants are business owners / co-owners who have a business based in RI that has been in operation for at least 2 years, with at least 2 employees (can include the owner) and making at least $100,000 annual gross revenue.
