Riverzedge Arts names Barbosa new ED
In a letter released Monday, Mark B. Cote, chairperson of Riverzedge Arts‘ board of directors, announced the hiring of Karen Barbosa (LRI '14) as the Woonsocket-based non-profit arts organization’s new executive director.

Companies look to hire vets for work ethic
General Dynamics Electric Boat was among the 9.1 percent that do spend time and money on hiring veterans. The submarine builder two years ago hired Anthony Paolino (LRI '14), head of military and veteran affairs, to concentrate on filling the workforce pipeline with ex-military.

Leadership RI opens path to Rocky Point history
“We all have fond memories of Rocky Point, whether it’s from the amusements, concerts when we were teenagers or just the beautiful area of our state,” said Jennifer Massotti (LRI '16), general manager and partner of Barrington Books Retold and a member of Leadership Rhode Island’s class of 2016.

Rocky Point pathway signs unveiled
The ten signs, which were designed by Leadership Rhode Island’s 2016’s MUII class - Team 8, with input from the City of Warwick, as well as RIDEM, depict various sites and attractions that once stood proudly within the iconic amusement park.

Signs of investment in Rocky Point
The signs represent a substantial investment, one that was made possible by Leadership Rhode Island that raised the funds through corporate sponsors and donations. Public funds were not used.
