Raimondo looking for revenue; won’t raise sales or income taxes
As an example: Senator Donna M. Nesselbush (LRI '87), D-Pawtucket, has proposed a tax on sugary drinks. Her bill, slated for a hearing on Thursday, would earmark the $27 million per year in potential new state tax revenue to a newly created Children’s Health Promotion Fund.
