Dann-Messier appointed commissioner of R.I. postsecondary education
Brenda Dann-Messier (LRI '87) has been appointed the commissioner of Rhode Island postsecondary education, the R.I. Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner announced Tuesday.

Four TEDxProvidence 2017 speakers announced
The first four speakers of TEDxProvidence 2017 were announced Monday by the Providence Speaking Society. The event, which will be held at The Vets Memorial Auditorium on Sept. 30, will feature Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chanda Womack, Raymond Two Hawks Watson (LRI '15), and Adeene Denton.
